
The University Hospital Centre of Tours
The University Hospital Centre of Tours (CHUT) is the first hospital of the Centre-Val de Loire region (France) and welcomes more than 100,000 inpatients and 380,000 outpatients per year. The research organization included a department of 23-FTE staff members, a platform of 140-FTE staff members and close collaborations with the University of Tours plus five INSERM and two INRA units. CHUT is currently involved in 100 projects as sponsor, 900 academic or industrial projects and 5 European projects as partner.
The clinical investigation center (CIC 1415) is a clinical research infrastructure labeled by INSERM and subject of a convention between INSERM and the CHU of Tours. It is accredited by the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education and thus fulfils all requirements in matters of professional ethics and European quality assurance principles. The CIC allows achieving clinical research projects, from the conception of the protocol (methodology) to its valorization (publication), including conducting clinical investigation and data analysis
